MOUNTAIN BIKING: Kebler Wagon Trail, #606

← CO HUBBARD CREEK HIGHWAY 133 AT MOUTH NEAR BOWIE CO Single Tracks →

Description

We picked up this trail about 3/4 of a mile further up Kebler Pass road. At this point, it looked like the trail crossed the road. We headed right on it back towards lake Irwin in an attempt to work it into our loop with the Dyke Trail. We rode it for about a mile before it dumped out on a gravel road up there. The trail did continue to the left of Kebler Pass road, and I am unsure of how long it runs in that direction. This trail wasn't on any of our maps or in our guidebook, yet it was signed as being bike legal.

As for the trail itself, it definitely did not feel like it got ridden much at all. The singletrack was very narrow, although it was easy to follow at all times. The tread itself was very rough and bumpy but not actually technical, just making it tough to find a good flow. On the upper section in the woods, there were a couple of logs down along the way.

Directions

Head West of town on Kebler Pass Road for about 6.3 miles to the junction with

County Road 826. Park here.
